planning for the 5th
grade, integrates all 5 subject areas allowing students to see
how terminology overlaps across content areas.
Year-round themes will allow teachers to coordinate and
emphasize objectives for student success.

a Mimio (interactive tool) makes the dry erase board come to
life keeping 5th grade science students engaged and
actively involved.

The Foundation and
Lorena
Economic Development Corporation will partner to development
and install a nine hole Frisbee golf course allowing students, 5th
– 12th grades, to participate in organized sports and
promote exercise and a healthy lifestyle.
This sport is gaining popularity across Waco and central
Texas.

Audio
books, or ebooks, are one title MP3 players which allow
students, especially resource students, to read along with the
player. Of those
students using the audio books last year, 82% passed the AR
test, opposed to 50% who used a print book only.
These books will be available to 9th -12th
grade students.

Projection
system, podium and
laptop will allow for a more mobile teacher and more affective
teaching. Courses
benefiting are BCIS, Accounting and Technology
Applications. High
school students, grades 9th – 12th, will
